Mandy Takhar is an actress who predominantly features in Punjabi films. Her career began when she landed a role in 'Ekam – Son of Soil', an appearance that gained high praise among critics. She later starred in 'Mirza – The Untold Story' and 'Mirza-Sahiba', the second of which earned her a nomination at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards for Best Actress. After making numerous appearances in Bollywood films, including a critically acclaimed appearance in 'Sardaar Ji' which took her career to new heights, Mandy continues to be cast in top films and is a well recognized face in the industry. She is also renowned for her humanitarian efforts, where she has worked in connection to the refugee crisis with Khalsa Aid.
Mandy Takhar was raised in Wolverhampton City in the UK to a Sikh Jatt family, and with routes in Punjab Mandy was given a fantastic opportunity to to work in the Indian film industry. She moved to London to study Drama when she was 17 years old, and graduated from Kingston University.
Mandy Takhar was considered a tom boy at school, where she studied martial arts and also loved playing rugby.
