Jason Momoa is an actor, director, writer and producer who is probably most renowned for his role as Ronon Dex in the military science fiction series Stargate Atlantis, where he appeared from 2005 – 2009. He has also made appearances in Game of Thrones, a fantasy series which has become very popular on HBO, and as Phillip Kopus in the SundanceTV drama series 'The Red Road'. Having taken on some diverse roles throughout his career, Momoa has broadened his horizons significantly in order to avoid being typecast and ensure he is open to be cast in various roles going forward, a notion which is important for the longevity of an actor's career. Jason has also branched out into film, having appeared in Conan the Barbarian in 2011 and in the 2016 superhero movie 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice', where he played Aquaman. His performance here granted Jason his very own solo venture which will explore Aquaman's experiences, and this is scheduled to be released in 2018.
Jason Momoa was born in Hawaii, and after being raised in Norwalk, Iowa by his mother, he studied a major in wildlife biology at Colorado State University, and when he completed his studies Momoa returned to Haiwaii in order to reconnect with his father.
Jason has also been involved in directing, writing and producing, where his first role in this position was in the 2014 movie 'Road to Paloma', which he also starred in, contributing to his all around extensive participation in the project.
Jason has been in a relationship with Lisa Bonet since 2005.
